What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Football Coach position at Athletics - CHS?
Canby High School is hiring a Non-District Funded Assistant Football Coach to begin August 17, 2026.
This is a non-district funded position, contingent upon fundraised dollars.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures — current First Aid/CPR card required.
- Ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public.
- Ability to perform extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies.
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge of the sport of interscholastic football, coaching techniques, and student supervision.
Trainings Required Prior to Beginning Work:
- Required OSAA Certifications: Interscholastic Coaching (OSAA Beyond the Scoreboard), Steroid Awareness, Heat Acclimatization, Concussion Training, and Interrupting and Preventing Discriminatory Acts (IPDA).
- Required CSD Trainings: Safe Schools (Vector), First Aid/CPR
Applicant agrees to assume cost and arrange for fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer of employment ($10-$20 at printing; $66 payroll deduction).
