Housekeeping Associate – Athletica Health & Fitness Position Overview

Athletica Health & Fitness is a family-owned and operated health club committed to providing our members with a clean, welcoming, and first-class fitness experience. We take pride in maintaining one of the cleanest fitness facilities in South Florida, and our Housekeeping Team plays a vital role in achieving that standard.

Because our clubs operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, cleanliness is an ongoing priority. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy staying active, and are committed to creating an exceptional environment for our members and guests.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness throughout the entire facility at all times.
• Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of all men's and women's locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and changing areas.
• Clean and disinfect fitness equipment, benches, cardio machines, free weights, and strength equipment.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain all flooring throughout the club.
• Dust and wipe down mirrors, windows, railings, counters, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Replenish paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other restroom supplies.
• Keep the front lobby, lounge areas, studios, and common areas clean and organized.
• Pick up and properly organize dumbbells, weight plates, kettlebells, and all fitness accessories throughout the club.
• Maintain cleanliness of the turf areas, group fitness studios, cycle rooms, and specialty training areas.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize the sauna and steam rooms, including scheduled power washing and deep cleaning.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Immediately clean spills and other hazards to ensure member safety.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.

Member Service

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Respond promptly to member requests regarding cleanliness or facility concerns.
• Work respectfully around members while cleaning to minimize disruptions.

Team Responsibilities

• Work closely with management and fellow team members to ensure all daily cleaning tasks are completed.
• Follow housekeeping schedules, checklists, and cleaning procedures.
• Assist teammates when needed to maintain club standards.
• Maintain a strong sense of urgency while paying close attention to detail.
• Take ownership of assigned areas and consistently exceed cleanliness expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Excellent work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced fitness environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
