What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Assistant Wrestling Coach position at Athletic Supplemental?
Pottsgrove Athletics is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and high-energy High School Wrestling Assistant Coach. The coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of assisting the head coach of our program, including team management, player development, supervision, fostering a competitive, and sportsmanship-driven environment aligned with Pottsgrove’s athletic values.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the daily operations of the High School Wrestling, including practice planning, game strategy, and communication.
- Maintain strict adherence to all rules, policies, and guidelines established by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and the Pioneer Athletic Conference (PAC).
- Foster student-athlete academic success, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership on and off the mat.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of (3) years of experience coaching wrestling.
- Required: Comprehensive understanding of PIAA rules, eligibility criteria, and Pioneer Athletic Conference guidelines.
- Preferred: Prior experience coaching interscholastic sports.
- Preferred: Prior experience participating in interscholastic sports.
