The Varsity Defensive Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the high school football program’s defensive unit. This position works closely with the Head Football Coach to develop and implement defensive strategies, teach techniques and fundamentals, and ensure athletes are prepared for practices and games. The coordinator provides leadership to defensive position coaches, oversees film study, and promotes a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented culture. Duties include planning defensive practices, analyzing opponents, making in-game adjustments, supporting athlete development, and ensuring compliance with school, district, and MSHSAA guidelines.
This position will be required to hold a teaching certificate in the state of Missouri and fill a teaching position.
