What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Cheer Coach, Junior High, 26/27 School Year position at Athletic Office?
The Neosho School District is searching for an Assistant Cheer Coach for the 26/27 school year.
In accordance with district policies and procedures, the assistant athletic coach will carry out the aims of the district athletic program and MSHSAA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A person who holds this position must:
- Be responsible for the information contained in the Wildcat Standards and implementation of the policies/procedures/goals therein
- Support the head athletic coach in that particular sport and the total athletic program of Neosho School District in general
- Complete all MSHSAA coaching requirements
- Attend staff and team meetings when called by the head coach
- Assume any duties assigned by the head athletic coach pertaining to the overall athletic program of the particular sport. Some of these duties might be: conducting portions of practice drills, handling equipment, determining eligibility, working with student managers, public relations, and statistics
- In the absence of the head athletic coach, he/she shall assume all responsibilities herein designated as those of the head athletic coach
- Perform other duties related to the position of assistant athletic coach as requested by the high school principal and/or activities director
Supervisory Duties
Supervision of student athletes at all times. This includes practices, games, and locker room supervision until all student athletes have left the building and ensuring that the facility is locked.
Qualifications
Prior coaching experience is desired.
Must successfully pass a background check.
