In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.
Athletes Unlimited Softball League is looking for a Social & Content Producer to fulfill real-time, on-the-ground content capture, creation, and publishing for an assigned team across games, practices, and local events. This is a contract position and will report into an internal member of the Social & Content team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture and produce real-time, on-the-ground social content for an assigned AUSL team, with a focus on game days, practices, and local market events
- Attend all assigned team activities, including home games, select practices, community appearances, and league events
- Create platform-native content (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube Shorts) that is timely, engaging, and aligned with AUSL brand and team voice
- Shoot, edit, and publish short-form video content in real time using mobile-first tools
- Collaborate with league and team social leads to execute content strategies, campaigns, and key moments throughout the season
- Support live social coverage during games, including highlights, behind-the-scenes access, and fan-focused storytelling
- Maintain a consistent content pipeline that balances planned content with reactive, in-the-moment storytelling
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of experience in a social, content, video, and/or photo role within the sports industry
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X)
- Experience managing or contributing to brand or team social media accounts
- Proficiency in mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut) and quick-turn content creation
- Experience capturing video and photo content in live event environments
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
- Working knowledge of softball and a genuine passion for women’s sports
- Availability to work a majority of the gamedays of the assigned AUSL team, including on-site availability for home games and remote availability to cover away games.
- This role will have limited travel requirements
- Availability for the season dates of May 20 - July 31, approximate weekly hours to be discussed and agreed upon prior to starting.
- Candidates must be local to or within commuting distance of one of our AUSL team markets to be considered for this position
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours when in season
- Candidates need to be based near Hillsboro, Oregon
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
BENEFITS
The rate for this position is $25-$35/hour, dependent on skillset and experience
1099 Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
