Job description:
We are a gym focused around helping athletes perform at the highest level. Our trainers work closely with the athletes and parents to create systems, protocols, and programs necessary to provide structure, accountability and discipline to our clients. You will typically work with between 3-8 athletes per session. Our primary demographic age ranges 10-18 where you will be working directly with the athletes. This role does not require you to sell memberships but we do offer commissions for new clients brought in.
This role requires individuals to be outspoken and energetic. We work with kids that mimic and absorb our behaviors and energy. If you struggle with being loud and positive, this will not be a fit for you.
Safety is our #1 concern hence technique and form is at the top for what our trainers must be diligent and aware of. We program lots of barbell complexes and olympic style movements that require detailed coaching and ques. This is not an entry level position.
We are looking for forward thinking trainers wanting to build into a career at APE as we approach new growth opportunities. We also look for staff members with a business mindset, understanding the importance of hitting quotas and maintaining business KPI's.
This position requires regular availability between 3-8pm in full or part time positions.
Required Qualifications
- Personal training certification (CPT) (NASM, ISSA, ACSM, etc)
- 1 year personal training experience
- Security clearance card (we will help you get this if you don't have one)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors-Master's Degree (Preferred)
- CSCS (Preferred)
- CPR-AED (Required)
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to develop a comprehensive program that will meet their health and fitness goals.
- Manage a client base via CRM tools
- Be aware of body mechanics and prevent injuries.
- Be knowledgeable of current exercises and programs.
- Work in an environment where close communications with clients and co-workers is required.
- Assist clients in maintaining proper nutrition to maximize their results.
- Monitor clients' progress to ensure fitness goals are being met.
Wages
- Based on experience, qualifications and education ($16-20 hourly Commissions)
- Commissions between 5-20% on new deals, merchandise, etc
- Salaried opportunities after tenure with business
