What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Athey Creek Church?
The Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for the conception, creation, and execution of online, print, video, web, and sermon series content under the supervision and direction of the Communications Director. This position should be comfortable working on various projects and interacting with people on the team. The candidate should be curious, a great team player, and a self-starter who relishes operating in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
Agree to ACC's doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in What We Believe/Vision statement.
Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
2 years of working experience as a Graphic Designer.
Portfolio demonstrating design experience
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Understanding of design principles, specifically typography and layout.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Ability to receive constructive feedback and have a heart for service.
Time management and prioritization skills.
An aptitude for creative problem-solving.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Communications Director to develop creative concepts, implement a cohesive visual style, voice, and tone while executing design projects.
Design and illustrate a wide range of projects including our weekend worship experience, print media, promotions, web design, and special ministry projects.
Works with various ministries to help meet their design needs.
Attention to detail when creating clear and compelling pieces through print and digital mediums.
Executes design and layout concepts that are clear and concise.
Collaborate with our communications team to develop design solutions from concept to completion.
Possess a creative, imaginative aptitude and awareness of current trends in the visual arts.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and special team meetings as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
