What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at Athens Rock Lobsters?
The Athens Rock Lobsters Hockey Team is looking for engaging sales professionals to assist customers at our retail store. In this role, the retail sales associate will guide customers through the shopping process, from initial greeting to final purchase. Providing insight and support, the sales associate will help strengthen our customer relationships and convert new patrons into repeat shoppers. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to engage customers and meet their retail needs. The retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new customer-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including all 2026-2027 Athens Rock Lobsters home games.
- Greet customers with a friendly and engaging attitude. Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on guests' needs and desires
- Manage product, inventory, and payments via our Shopify Point of Sale platform
- Ensure the sales floor is consistently sized and organized, and that new deliveries are appropriately displayed.
Required skills and qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Basic understanding of sales tactics, and customer service
- Capable of lifting and maneuvering 30lbs throughout the store
- Ability to work with other team members to create a positive work environment
- Prior experience in retail sales is preferred, but not required.
