- Utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of compounded medications.
- Providing support in medication administration for patients in critical care or acute care settings.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
- Educating patients about their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Managing inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring timely reordering as needed.
- Participating in quality assurance initiatives to improve pharmacy services and patient outcomes.
Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable.
