What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Athens Eye Doctors & Surgeons, LLC?
We are a busy Ophthalmology practice looking to bring a new ophthalmic technician. We offer a competitive compensation alongside full time benefits. We work from 8-5 Monday-Thursday and 8-12 on Fridays.
This role includes interacting with patients and our doctors daily in a clinical setting. We are looking for candidates with medical terminology or a care giving background.
Experience in this field is a huge plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient medical history.
- Assist ophthalmologists/optometrist during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain and organize medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care and eye health.
- Utilize EMR systems to document patient information and treatment plans.
- Ensure a clean and aseptic environment in the clinic.
