What are the responsibilities and job description for the CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) Assessor position at Athens County Children Servcies?
Working in collaboration with the Family and Children First Council (FCFC) Coordinator, the CANS Assessor will utilize the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment tool for assessing the care of children utilizing FCFC Services. These assessments will assist the agency in determining a child/family’s strengths and weaknesses, vital information for making recommendations of care.
- This is a part-time position, working 25 hours per week, not to exceed 29 hours per week.
- The work schedule will be determined by the supervisor, most work is during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, however early morning or evening hours may be required to complete job responsibilities.
- Some weekend work may be required.
- The supervisor may require the Child and Adolescent Care Assessor to utilize an alternative work site.
