Position Summary:
Athens Country Club is currently seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Bartender for our Men’s Grill. This individual will be responsible for creating an exceptional service experience for members and guests in a relaxed, upscale setting. Weekend, holiday, and summer availability is required. Prior bartending experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, prompt, and friendly service to members and their guests
- Mix and serve beverages accurately and efficiently, following club standards and member preferences
- Take and serve food orders in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and grill area
- Handle member tabs and complete transactions using POS systems
- Monitor alcohol service and ensure responsible beverage practices
- Contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere in the Men’s Grill
- Assist with golf tournaments, seasonal events, and other club activities as needed
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Weekend, holiday, and summer availability is a must
- Prior bartending or hospitality experience preferred (private club or upscale dining a plus)
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, and classic cocktails
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be 21 and able to comply with all alcohol service laws and club policies
