What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Athens Cooks?
Athens Cooks in Athens, GA is looking for a Sous Chef to join our 14 person strong team. We are located on 100 Prince Ave Ste 103. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn, work hard, work fast, work clean and has a great work ethic, sense of urgency, and is a team player.
You will be
- prepping various foods and mise en place
- working our breakfast and lunch service making breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and artisanal sandwiches
- working our limited evening menu preparing charcuterie boards and snacks
- prepping for our various cooking classes, including assisting in those classes as needed
- the right applicant will have opportunities to plan and lead cooking classes
Qualifications
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Available morning, evening and nights
