Lead-Based Paint Field Inspector/Risk Assessor
Job Purpose
US/EPA licensed Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor in New York State to perform risk assessments and inspections on a variety of sites, public and private.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform XRF Inspections, lead risk assessments and record all data in an efficient and precise manner.
- Collect samples for determination of lead-based paint content.
- Drop off equipment to the office as needed
- Drop off samples to the laboratory as needed
- Download information to the office as needed
- Provide on a timesheet on a timely basis and operate timekeeping app efficiently; timesheets submitted every other week for approved by Project Manager
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Environmental Science or similar field, or High School graduate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience may successfully substitute for education requirements and needs to have the following:
- USEPA Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License
- NITTON/RMD Radiation training for the use of an
- Willingness/ ability to use tablet for field
- Good oral and written communication
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and good driving
- Position entails frequent travel throughout the 5 boroughs of New York
- OSHA-40
Working conditions
This role is a field position and requires travel 100% of the time, which may be physically strenuous, and demands compliance with complex regulations and schedules established by clients. As a result, some weekend or late-night work may be required to accommodate project schedules and for on-time completion of project deliverables.
Direct reports
The Lead-Based Paint Field Inspector/Assessor will report directly to the Project Manager, Lead/Industrial Hygiene.
