About the Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated and flexible Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom. This position plays a key role in helping create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who is willing to jump in where needed and build strong relationships with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to individual students or small groups under teacher direction.
- Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and data collection.
- Reinforce academic skills and provide encouragement and feedback to students.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and field trips.
- Support positive behavior and implement school-wide expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with clerical duties such as copying, filing, and preparing instructional materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by teachers or administrators.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred).
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
