In this role, the Medical Coding Outcomes Manager will partner across Product, Operations, Commercial, R&D, and Revenue Cycle teams to identify coding-related denial trends, implement proactive solutions, and support automation and technology enhancements that improve first-pass claim success. This individual will be responsible for ensuring coding corrections and denial resolution activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner while supporting scalable operational improvements that enhance customer and business outcomes. The Medical Coding Outcomes Manager will be expected to showcase strong project ownership, analytical problem-solving, medical coding expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders while balancing customer, operational, and compliance priorities.

The team leverages operational analytics, workflow optimization methodologies, AI-enabled technologies, and automation tools to proactively identify opportunities that improve coding accuracy, reduce rework, and support scalable growth. Team members are passionate about improving healthcare operations and delivering measurable value to customers through thoughtful process, product, and workflow enhancements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze coding-related denials, operational trends, and workflow data to identify root causes, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop and implement scalable solutions that leverage automation, AI-enabled technologies, proactive workflows, and operational best practices to reduce coding-related denials and improve claim adjudication outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Revenue Cycle, Commercial, and R&D teams to support implementation of workflow enhancements and operational initiatives.
  • Monitor coding correction workflows and denial resolution activities to ensure claims are adjudicated accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain project plans, stakeholder communications, presentations, and performance metrics to support project execution, transparency, and operational accountability.
  • Ensure adherence to medical coding standards, compliance guidelines, and coding quality expectations across operational workflows and customer solutions.
  • Present findings, recommendations, project updates, and operational outcomes to stakeholders and leadership while demonstrating subject matter expertise.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate professional experience required.
  • 3 years of professional experience in Denials Management, Revenue Cycle Management, healthcare operations, or a related field required.
  • CPC and/or CCS certification from AAPC or AHIMA required.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams to achieve shared goals and operational outcomes required.
  • Experience working with providers or RCM management to influence provider documentation or customer workflow optimization preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience implementing or supporting denial prevention initiatives, coding technologies, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Agile frameworks, or SQL/reporting tools preferred.
