We are hiring a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team! As a PTA, you will assist in the provision and collection of assessment data, direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required
- Must possess an active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state, or be in the process or eligible to obtain one
- New graduates welcome!
- Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
- Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
- Consults with and trains residents and caregivers
- Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor
- Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis
- Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
- Participates in clinical program development and implementation
- Demonstrates the ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field
- May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
- Participates in quality improvement activities
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
- Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care
- Requires intense attention and concentration
- Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
