Activities Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and creative Activities Assistant to join our recreation team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing recreational activities for our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being is maintained. Weekly pay at $16 an hour. Full-time and part-time openings.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and run events and activities programming
• Build relationships with residents to tailor programming to their interests and desires
• Organize group and individual programming
• Generate ideas for exciting and engaging activities
• Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate their potential
• Assist with establishing resident care goals within the framework of the therapeutic team
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings
• Report all reportable events immediately
  
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to make independent decisions
• Knowledge of the Privacy Rule and ability to ensure compliance
• Patient, tactful, and cheerful disposition
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
• Participation in continuing education and inservice training
