Wadsworth Glen in Middletown is hiring part-time Activities Assistants to join our recreation team!
24 hour and 16 hour a week shifts available. Weekly pay at $17.85.
As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing recreational activities for our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being is maintained.

As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing recreational activities for our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being is maintained.
Experience & Education:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- We can train the right candidate!
- Coordinate and run events and activities programming
- Build relationships with residents to tailor programming to their interests and desires
- Organize group and individual programming
- Generate ideas for exciting and engaging activities
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate their potential
- Assist with establishing resident care goals within the framework of the therapeutic team
- Document and report any unusual or significant findings
- Report all reportable events immediately
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable in the Privacy Rule and ensure all staff comply with facility privacy practices policies and procedures.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing policies and procedures.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must participate in continuing education and inservice training.
