We are currently seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to add to our growing geotechnical team. The senior engineer should be capable of overseeing and directing geotechnical investigations for a variety of structures with limited oversight.
Job duties will include but are not limited to the following environmental investigation activities:
- Execute geotechnical investigations of basic and moderate size and complexity
- Coordination and management of geotechnical field explorations
- Assign geotechnical laboratory tests and review results
- Independently perform geotechnical analyses including shallow foundation bearing capacity and settlement, deep foundation capacities (drilled shafts, auger cast piles, driven piles, etc.), and slope stability
- Prepare geotechnical reports and proposals under limited guidance and supervision of senior engineer
- Project management of geotechnical projects
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering from a four year accredited college or university is required
Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of experience preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Tennessee or ability to obtain within three months
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel), GeoStudio, and LPILE software
- Routine lifting of up to 50 pounds
