Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, and exhibit a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work across diverse medical settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile dressing changes while maintaining aseptic techniques.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and medical records management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across departments such as ICU, emergency room, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavioral health.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching topics including chronic disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Participate in discharge planning and case management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions from hospital or facility to home or long-term care settings.
  • Maintain proficiency in advanced skills such as ventilator management, trauma response procedures, infectious disease control, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
  • Support infection control practices and adhere to NCQA standards for quality healthcare delivery across all patient interactions.

Experience

Candidates should possess extensive nursing experience across multiple healthcare environments including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or trauma centers (Level I or II), outpatient clinics, or home care settings. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued. A background in critical care transport or post-acute care is advantageous. Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation is required. Candidates with expertise in specialized areas such as ophthalmology (including laser treatments), dialysis procedures, ostomy care, mammography support, or esthetic laser treatments are encouraged to apply. Additional preferred experiences include:

  • Medical-surgical nursing with exposure to complex cases involving acute pain management and trauma medicine.
  • Pediatric or neonatal nursing experience including neonatal ventilator management and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
  • Geriatric nursing with a focus on memory care and long-term facility operations such as assisted living or nursing homes.
  • Proficiency in laboratory specimen collection/processing and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner coupled with strong medical terminology understanding for accurate documentation.
  • Experience providing home & community care services along with familiarity working within hospice & palliative medicine frameworks.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication skills combined with physiology knowledge necessary for comprehensive patient assessment and effective intervention planning. A valid RN license is required along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus.
