Job Description

The basic function of the Paramedic is to provide non-emergency and emergency transportation utilizing the knowledge and skills learned in EMT-P courses. 


The EMT-P:
  • functions in uncommon situations
  • has basic understanding of stress response 
  • has understanding of BSI (Body Substance Isolation) 
  • understand basic medical-legal principles 
  • functions within scope of care as defined by the state of Illinois. 
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid Illinois Paramedic license 
  • Valid AHA CPR card
