About The Broadway Project: The Broadway Project is an exciting and creative musical theatre camp designed for children aged 6-13. This camp offers a unique opportunity for kids to explore the world of musical theatre in a supportive and energetic environment. Participants will engage in classes focused on singing, dancing, and acting, culminating in a spectacular performance on the legendary Empire Stage.
Position Overview: ATG Entertainment San Antonio, are seeking passionate and experienced Teaching Artists to join our team for The Broadway Project. As a Teaching Artist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in musical theatre to children aged 6-13. You will lead engaging classes in singing, dancing, and acting, helping participants build confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills.

We engage and empower people of all abilities, ages, genders, races and socio-economic backgrounds in the communities and schools our venues serve, with the aim of increasing access to the transformational power of the performing arts.
- Our work is informed by our incredible city, our inspiring venues and the amazing productions that tour to us. Our goal is to create an environment that broadens access to live entertainment, especially for those who haven't always had the opportunity.
- We are delighted to work alongside The Majestic Empire Foundation, dedicated to the development of the performing arts through education and scholarships, as well as the restoration and preservation of the historic Majestic and Charline McCombs Empire Theatres.
- You will be line managed by the Creative Learning Director for this project, however this is a collaborative role where you will be required to bring creative ideas and your own area of specialism to the team.
- You will work alongside other Teaching Artists and manage the Camp Assistants across the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate classes in singing, dancing, and acting.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Collaborate with other Teaching Artists and camp staff to create a cohesive and dynamic curriculum and final showcase.
- Prepare students for the final showcase on the Empire Stage.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their skills.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during camp activities.
COMPETENCIES
- Proven experience teaching musical theatre to children aged 6-13, or specialization in either singing, dancing, or acting.
- Strong knowledge of musical theatre techniques and repertoire.
- First Aid Qualification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop their talents.
- Availability for the entire duration of the camp (June 23-27, 2025).
