Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely cleaning of dishes during peak service hours.
Skills
- Experience in a banquet, hotel, restaurant, or catering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food service operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
