Our perennial award-winning company is a recognized global industry leader in Aerospace Manufacturing, providing component repair services on aircraft engines. Our modern and clean shop is conveniently located in Central MA and will be celebrating our 50th year in business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and maintains IS09001/AS9110 Quality Management System already in place
- Manages aspects of the manufacturing functions of facilities’ Quality Control Department
- Develops sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions for use by manufacturing to monitor and reduce variations
- Develops training plans and maintains proper documentation
- Proficiency in FAA regulations and FARs particularly pertaining to Part 145 is a plus
- Point of contact to the Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency
- Maintain current revisions of the company’s FAA repair station and Quality Control Manual
- Determine the final disposition of articles failing to meet the incoming inspection review
- Manage the Corrective Action Program and determines the appropriate actions to be taken when deficiencies are discovered or reported
- Perform audits including internal and external
- Continuous review of training programs to ensure all the training needs are met
- Ensure technicians have the appropriate technical data available during the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities
- Ascertain qualifications of all technical employees prior to work assignment through tests and evaluation of their previous experience
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Handle all parts in a safe manner
- Responsible for product quality and production of product to specified requirements
- Other duties may be assigned
- Manage the Inspection Department
EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Quality Management with ISO9001:AS9110 and or AS9100
- FAA Repair Station experience not required but a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent ability to read, write and understand the English language per FAR Part 145
- Ability to read, interpret and transcribe documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of Customers, Suppliers and Employees
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
COMPUTER SKILLS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software, manufacturing software and Microsoft Office
