Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to support nursing administration operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This non-clinical role is responsible for coordinating staffing and scheduling across multiple nursing units within a regional hospital system. The role involves working closely with union guidelines and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage based on operational needs.
This is an on-site position located in Olympia, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily staffing and scheduling for nursing units in alignment with staffing needs and union contracts
- Manage staffing coverage across multiple shifts and adjust schedules as needed
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and internal teams to ensure adequate coverage
- Monitor staffing requests, absences, and shift changes in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate scheduling records using workforce management systems
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedule updates and changes
- Support administrative staffing operations in a high-volume environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in staffing and/or scheduling coordination (healthcare preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Familiarity with workforce management systems such as UKG/Kronos preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Primarily 10-hour day shifts
- Occasional requirement to work nights or 12-hour shifts based on staffing needs
- Weekend coverage required (minimal but mandatory)
- Must be flexible with scheduling requirements
