What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - ICU Step Down position at ATD Technology LLC?
Duties:Care for patients transitioning out of the ICU requiring more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit.Monitoring patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators and cardiac monitors.RN to patient ratio – 1:4, ranging from young adult to geriatric.Frequent patient assessments and proper escalation of a patient’s change in medical condition.Responding to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes.Skills:Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical SD experience.OR -Two (2) years of ICU experience.Two (2) years of IV Insertion & Phlebotomy experience.Two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience.Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age specific competency. Education:Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accreditated Nursing Program.Evidence of graduation from an accredited National League of Nursing School.Baccalaureate degree or satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.Required Certifications & Licensure:New York State RN License.Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).AHA BLS.AHA ACLS.
