Here at atCAUSE Law Office We are the Non-Stuffy Attorneys. We are looking for an experienced Probate Litigation Attorney to join us and add to our Non-Stuffiness! We were founded in 2020 during the height of Covid from the living room of our Managing Attorney, and now, we have 24 Staff and are on track to do 6.5 Million in revenue in 2026. Aligning our team to the goals of the firm so that we can share the benefits of our success with the people who helped get us there is something that we are very passionate about. About the Role


As a Probate Litigation Attorney, you will handle contested probate, estate, trust, and guardianship matters via video calls or in court, whenever needed. This role is responsible for representing clients in litigation involving will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary breaches, and related probate proceedings. The attorney provides strategic legal counsel, litigates cases, and works collaboratively with the firm’s estate planning and probate team.


Responsibilities:


  • Represent clients in probate litigation, including will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary breach claims, and guardianship proceedings.
  • Conduct case evaluations, develop litigation strategies, and advise clients on risks, costs, and probable outcomes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in mediations, hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings.
  • Collaborate with the Estate Planning and Probate teams on integrated matters involving both planning and litigation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and regular case updates.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.
  • Stay current with Florida probate, trust, and guardianship law and procedural rules.
  • Participate in business development and client referral activities as appropriate.
  • Uphold the highest standards of legal ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality.


Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of specific experience practicing Business Law.
  • Strong knowledge of entity formation, contracts, business transactions, and regulatory compliance. Intellectual Property experience (Trademark and Copyright) is very preferred but not required.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills.
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with a professional yet approachable “non-stuffy” style.


Salary and Benefits:


  • Salary would start between $100,000 and $115,000 per year
  • Bonuses based on both how many clients you bring into the firm as well as the outcomes you deliver in litigation. Both of these can be substantial.
