Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring of patient vitals and telemetry data.
- Administer medications, manage intravenous lines, and perform complex medical treatments.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge self-care.
- Act as a patient advocate, providing compassionate care and support to families.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment within the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care experience, with PCU or ICU experience preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
