Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to oversee caregiver training, client assessments, and compliance for our growing home care agency. This role is critical in ensuring that the services provided by caregivers meet state regulations, company policies, and client needs.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated and compassionate nurse with experience in home care, case management, or care coordination. This position offers the opportunity to impact lives daily by supporting caregivers, ensuring quality care, and advocating for clients’ well-being.
Key Responsibilities: Client Assessments & Care Coordination:
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Monitor clients’ health status, needs, and changes to adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
- Provide guidance on care techniques, medical conditions, and safety measures to caregivers and families.
Caregiver Supervision & Training:
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Aides (PCAs).
- Conduct competency evaluations and annual training for caregivers.
- Ensure caregivers adhere to proper techniques for personal care, infection control, and client safety.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, providing coaching and support to caregivers.
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with North Carolina Department of Health regulations and franchise policies.
- Conduct supervisory visits every 90 days and as needed for quality assurance.
- Document care plans, assessments, and caregiver evaluations according to state and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and client files.
Emergency Support & Client Advocacy:
- Act as an on-call RN for emergency client needs and caregiver concerns.
- Address client or caregiver concerns regarding care quality and safety.
- Educate clients and families on health conditions, care plans, and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
✅ Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (Required)
✅ Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (home care, case management, or geriatrics preferred)
✅ Experience with client assessments, care planning, and caregiver supervision
✅ Knowledge of North Carolina home care regulations and compliance standards
✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple client cases
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft 365, electronic documentation, and scheduling software (AxisCare preferred but not required)
✅ Reliable transportation and willingness to conduct home visits to complete evaluations and service agreements.
