We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to care for individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. The role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and quality of life in a respectful and supportive environment. Experience in group homes, assisted living, or home care is preferred. All positions are paid.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility).
- Monitor health, record vital signs, and report changes to supervisors.
- Administer medications safely and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs.
- Support residents in social and community activities.
- Keep accurate documentation and follow care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and families.
Qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving, group homes, or assisted living.
- Knowledge of basic health monitoring and medication administration.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- High School Diploma.
- Strong communication, patience, and compassion.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
