Hours/Week: 37.5

Pay: $45-52/hour, depending on EIPA score

Position Summary:

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate American Sign Language Interpreter to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 37 hours per week contract in Charleston, SC. Job Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or completion of a sign language interpreter training program
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English
• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA score ~3.2–3.5 or higher)
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• National certification (RID – Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
• Prior experience in a school or educational setting
• Knowledge of deaf culture and language development

Skills & Competencies

• Strong receptive and expressive ASL interpreting skills
• Ability to interpret accurately in real time
• Knowledge of educational terminology and curriculum
• Collaboration and communication skills
• Adaptability to different student learning styles
