A Controls Technician reads and understands electrical and pneumatic schematics, understands electrical wiring methods, panel build, troubleshoots and de-bugs complex electrical and pneumatic functions. How You'll Contribute
- Reads and analyze electrical and pneumatic prints.
- Understands proper wiring methods.
- Performs panel build and all field wiring.
- Performs basic machine de-bug, such as I/O.
- Tests operations of assemblies.
- Use voltmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Has disposition authority on rejects and rework.
- Assists with troubleshooting of equipment.
- Travel and valid driver's license required.
- May require basic programming skills.
- High School and Vocational Technical School.
- 3 years of work experience.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor.
- Physically be underneath machines working overhead.
- Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- VISUAL ACUITY: Near acuity with or without accommodation.
- HEARING Ability: Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose.
- High noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposure to oil and fluids.
