DEADLINE: UNTIL FILLED SALARY: Placement on Special Education Program Teachers Salary Schedule ($61,766 - $101,296) 15 years creditable experience may be accepted upon verification Master’s Degree – 2% on base annual salary Doctorate Degree – additional 2% on base annual salary National Board Certification – additional $1,000 Based on 190 workdays (includes 3 non-student days for training, 2 non-student days for IEP review; additional release time provided during the school year based on caseloads and assessments) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Valid, California Education Specialist Instruction Credential for Mild/Moderate Disabilities (or in progress) OR California Specialist Instruction Credential for Learning Handicapped 2. Bridge Authorization: Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) 3. Autism Spectrum Disorder Added Authorization 4. Appropriate ELL Authorization (CLAD or equivalent) 5. Ability to develop an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and facilitate an IEP meeting 6. Tuberculosis Clearance 7. Ability to Pass DOJ Background/Fingerprint Check 8. CPR Certification Make sure to complete the Target Success Sketch after you submit your application. This is part of your application.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of three years teaching experience in Special Education programs 2. Ability to differentiate for a variety of instructional levels 3. Ability to collaborate and consult with general education teachers 4. Thorough understanding of Response to Intervention (RtI) 5. Knowledge and/or understanding of conflict management 6. Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) Certification 7. Master's Degree ORDER OF CONSIDERATION: 1. Current AUSD Employees 2. Out of District Applicants
