SUMMARY
Responsible for project coordination between the customer, sales, estimating, project management and operations of ATAS Metalwërks products. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural metal products, fabrication processes, and construction documentation. This role will produce accurate shop drawings, coordinating with clients, vendors, and installers, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design, draft and detail projects that include shop drawings, fabrication packages, and material take-offs.
Provides technical support to the sales department.
Facilitate the development of purchase requisitions and bills of materials.
Create bills of material and material requisitions.
Assists with custom products and design questions. Prepare CAD drawings. Drafting of new as well as existing products, standard details, construction specific details and assembly installation drawings.
Assists Production by updating and drafting; providing quality assurance details and cut and bend details for custom designed products.
Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of architectural metal work from architectural and structural drawings, identify opportunities and develop proposals for lump sum engineered sales (furnish only contracts) or Contract sales (furnish and install contracts)
Identify those opportunities which will maximize profit for the company and are consistent with company resources and values.
Work with select Specialty Trade subcontractors (Glass Curtain walls, Ornamental Metals and Metal panel contractors) and General Contractors or Construction Managers to create opportunities for Company sales.
Manage existing and develop new relationships for the purpose of maximizing business with repeat customers throughout the country.
Work with architects in project development by providing design consultations on the use of the company’s products and services.
Develop networking relationships with customers, key vendors and service providers to manage the collaborative effort required to partner on opportunities which will arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two to four year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction field. AutoCAD certification or commensurate work experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and technical procedures. Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems. Ability to effectively present information, both orally and written, and respond to questions.
MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts, such as geometry, trigonometry and algebra. Experience with 2D and 3D drafting software, as they apply to sheet metal construction; familiarity with programming for computer-aided-machining, Revit 2013, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Windows operating system, and skills with both MS Excel and MS Word.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Understanding of the overview of the machine structure and functioning principle of the machine.
Pay: $76,218.48 - $91,789.99 per year
