Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision
- Clear and bus tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining area
- Support food safety management by adhering to sanitation standards and proper food handling protocols
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or dishware safely and correctly
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances
- Maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Experience with food handling, dishwashing, or catering is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Knowledge of basic knife skills or food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory
- Prior hospitality or banquet experience can enhance your ability to excel in this role
