Position Overview
Ataero is seeking a Senior Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Systems Engineer to support PMA-272 Airborne Electronic Attack Systems. The selected candidate will provide engineering expertise supporting the development, integration, testing, sustainment, and modernization of EO/IR sensing and countermeasure capabilities across Naval Aviation platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for EO/IR systems, sensors, targeting systems, and infrared countermeasure capabilities.
- Support requirements development, system integration, engineering analysis, and technical risk assessments.
- Participate in system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Evaluate system performance, deficiencies, and modernization initiatives.
- Support developmental and operational test activities.
- Prepare engineering analyses, technical reports, and acquisition documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years supporting DoD aviation, EO/IR, sensor, or countermeasure systems.
- Experience supporting NAVAIR, Naval Aviation, or military aviation programs.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Military operational aviation experience highly desirable.

Travel Required: Up to 10% - If outside local area, must be able to travel to Pax River at least twice per month.
