What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant position at ATA Services, Inc.?
Our client, a prestigious national law firm located in downtown Denver, is currently seeking a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in the complex commercial litigation group. This is a hybrid position with 4 days in-office and a pay range of $85K-$100K, DOE.
Responsibilities:
- Proofreads, prepares, and processes legal documents including, but not limited to, complaints, motions and other legal documents.
- Performs intermediate to advanced level clerical and administrative tasks including time entry; new business intake; drafting/preparing/revising legal documents, letters, memos; invoices; billing reports; audit letters; expense reports and other documents or correspondence for attorneys and timekeepers
- Prepares documents for e-filing and files documents with appropriate courts or other administrative agencies specific to the practice area
- Schedules and coordinates depositions and other attorney/client meetings.
- Make travel arrangements, answer telephone, read and route incoming mail, schedule appointments, and manage attorneys’ calendars, maintain filing and process new business intake and expense forms.
- Enter, review, and edit attorneys' time entries in time entry system.
- Manage client onboarding, billing, and relationship management activities.
- Team-oriented mentality. Provide back-up support to peers. Liaise with other firm departments and key stakeholders to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
- 4 years of law firm experience required, large law firm experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of appellate, federal, and state court systems, including appellate and federal e-filing and state court online filing systems required.
- Knowledge must include MS Office suite, and document management systems.
- Must possess interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients, and staff in person, by email and telephone.
- Must possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills.
- Proficiency in grammar, and proofreading.
- Must be able to work onsite 4 days a week.
