Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Accounts Payable Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that project expenses are controlled by verifying, processing and reconciling invoices and statements according to standard construction accounting procedures. This position will provide general accounting support duties, including data entry, payment generation, vendor relations, and statement reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers concerning invoice status.
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and receiving documentation.
- Maintain an invoice queue within department standards and statement reconciliation.
- Compile and review trends concerning inaccurate invoices and partners with management to find solutions.
- Assist with month-end close process.
- Perform data entry and other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience required.
- QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures.
- Experience requesting and maintaining compliance documentation (W-9s, Certificates of Insurance, DBE certifications, signed contracts, etc.) preferred.
