Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks, on regional and OTR routes to deliver freight promptly.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and lift gates. Using straps, load bars, and chains ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including route logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
Requirements
- DOT safety certificate and a clean MVR Report of the last 5 years aswell as any state required endorsements or files
- No CDL required for box trucks Driver position.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using pallet jacks and lift gates.
- Ability to use equipment such as straps chains and lock bars for securement of freight.
- experience of over 3 years is required. Experience with different truck types is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
