We are seeking an experienced Staffing General Manager to lead our Baltimore-based staffing team. This role would manage the company’s recruiting and staffing efforts, client relations, purchasing and more. The role would oversee a seasoned team of four staff members working on back of house hospitality and light industrial staffing and recruiting in the Baltimore and DC area.
This is a company where leadership shows up in the trenches, not just in meetings afterward. This role requires hands-on operational leadership in a high-volume temporary staffing environment. The ideal candidate must be prepared to work alongside the team as opposed to merely overseeing it.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch & Operations Management
- Lead daily staffing operations (recruiting, scheduling, fulfillment)
- Drive fill rates, attendance metrics, and workforce reliability
- Oversee high-volume W2 temporary workforce
- Improve onboarding and employee retention processes
- Manage last-minute orders and client escalations
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong client partnerships
- Ensure service quality and responsiveness
- Protect contracts and support government/prevailing wage accounts
- Address performance issues quickly and professionally
Team Leadership
- Supervise recruiting and staffing team
- Coach performance and enforce accountability
- Build scalable processes to reduce dependence on historic knowledge
- Serve as point of contact between the Baltimore based team and their parent company
Qualifications
- 5 years of leadership experience in staffing (hospitality preferred)
- Back of house hospitality experience
- Experience managing high-volume temporary employees (W2 workforce)
- Experience managing client relationships
- Strong operational and organizational skills
