What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at AT Talent - Rec2Rec?
Senior / Principal Software Engineering Recruiter
Remote | US
For recruiters who have built a desk, won their own clients and are ready to build something bigger.
If you're an experienced 360 recruiter who wants more autonomy, better access to the market and the opportunity to build your own reputation, this could be an interesting move.
My client is a specialist technology recruitment business that has grown rapidly by building deep relationships across the US technology ecosystem.
They're now looking for a Senior / Principal Software Engineering Recruiter to play a meaningful role in the next stage of that growth.
Why consider it?
This isn't just another remote recruitment role.
The business has built its model around trust, autonomy and commercial performance.
No micromanagement. No endless activity KPIs.
The expectation is simple:
Build relationships. Win business. Deliver. Grow your market.
And then have the freedom to figure out how you do it best.
Build your own reputation
One of the more interesting parts of the culture is the emphasis on helping recruiters become known within their market, rather than simply being good at filling jobs.
Consultants are encouraged to develop their own voice, personal brand and network, with team members already generating business through LinkedIn, conferences and industry events.
The philosophy is:
Don't just become a good recruiter. Become known for something.
Remote, but not isolated
You can work remotely from anywhere in the US, but the business actively invests in getting its recruiters in front of clients, candidates and the wider market.
That includes:
βοΈ Conferences and industry events
π½οΈ Client and candidate dinners
π€ Face-to-face meetings
π Team meet-ups and off-sites
The culture is high-performing without being "sharky". People are expected to perform, but also to share knowledge and support each other.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn alongside multiple $1m billers who have already built the type of desk you're aspiring to create.
The market
Your focus will be Software Engineering recruitment, working with high-growth technology businesses across the US.
The wider business operates across:
- Software Engineering
- Cybersecurity
- AI & Data
- Go-to-Market
- Executive Search
The client network includes recognised technology businesses such as OpenAI, Coinbase and Reddit, alongside VC-backed startups and scale-ups.
The business is also actively adapting to the growth of AI, expanding into areas connected to AI and security rather than simply watching the market change.
Who are they looking for?
This is aimed at an experienced, commercially minded 360 recruiter with:
β’ $300k annual billings
β’ A proven ability to win their own clients
β’ Technology / software engineering / cybersecurity experience
β’ A track record of building rather than simply servicing a desk
β’ The maturity to operate autonomously in a remote environment
β’ Ambition to reach $1m billings
You don't need to already be a $1m biller.
But you do need to demonstrate that you know how to win business and build a market.
This isn't a role for delivery-only recruiters or someone accustomed to being handed jobs.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
