Armed Security Officer – Mobile Patrol (Beltsville, MD)
A.T. Protective Services is seeking a professional, experienced Armed Security Officer to provide exterior mobile patrol coverage for a high-volume production facility located in Beltsville, MD. This position plays a key role in maintaining site safety and security during increased seasonal activity.
This is a temporary assignment running from the beginning of November through mid December with the potential for extension based on client needs and officer performance.
Position Details
- Location: Beltsville, MD
- Schedule: 5:00 PM – 12:15 AM, or 11:45 PM - 7:00 AM (These are the only times available)
- Type: Armed / Mobile Patrol
- Vehicle: Officer will use their own personal vehicle for patrol.
- Lighting and magnetic signage will be provided by A.T. Protective Services and must be displayed at all times while on duty.
- Focus Areas: Exterior patrol, entrances, parking lots, and trailers
- Support Role: Assist interior security personnel only in extreme or emergency circumstances
Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous mobile patrols across all exterior areas, entrances, and parking lots.
- Enforce loitering and trespassing policies.
- Monitor trailers, vehicles, and access points to deter theft and unauthorized entry.
- Maintain a highly visible presence to discourage unwanted activity.
- Respond to and report any suspicious, criminal, or emergency activity to site management and local authorities as required.
- Complete and submit Daily Activity Reports and incident documentation before end of shift.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
The following requirements and cannot be waived or negotiated. All documentation must be presented at the time of interview. If any required document cannot be provided, you will not be considered for this position.
Required Credentials:
- Valid Maryland Wear and Carry Permit
- Valid Maryland Security Guard Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Registered and insured personal vehicle suitable for mobile patrol
- Duty weapon compliant with Maryland state law
- Two forms of government-issued ID for employment verification
- Current resume outlining relevant security or law enforcement experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mobile patrol, armed security, or industrial/facility protection
- Strong communication and detailed reporting skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
