Senior Asset Management Data Analyst, Flexible Location: Sacramento Area or East Bay, CA
Position Summary
Conducts data analysis, research, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations, primarily focused on PG&E’s corporate real Estate Asset Management Program. Supports and administers key IT systems. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities typically include many or all the following:
- Data Analysis: Compiles and analyzes data. May develop and/or maintain data models for what-if analysis and for other business purposes
- Metrics and Reporting: Develops and tracks business metrics. Develops business intelligence dashboards and maintains standard, custom, and ad-hoc reports
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develops or works with budgets and forecasts.
- System Administration: Supports & administers key CRESS IT systems, including:
- Development/configuration of system enhancements
- Enrolling users with appropriate access permissions and maintaining system security
- Monitoring and optimizing system/database performance to enhance user experience
- Planning for and ensuring database backup and recovery as needed
- Maintaining archived data
- Running imports/exports of data to/from interfacing systems/tools
- Providing data quality assurance and control
- Trouble shooting and resolving system issues
- Quality Assurance & Business Process Improvement: May perform quality assurance and business process improvement activities in support of the business. Activities may include developing, managing, or coordinating performance or quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication, and training
- Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact
- Supports IT related enhancements and system development. Collaborates with team members on most effective field rollout of process, tool and/or reporting changes
- Creates and delivers user training, including development and management of user guides/manuals as needed
- Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues
- Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders
- Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- 6 years of experience in planning, finance, and/or information or data analysis
- Advanced MS Excel (data analytics, Power Query, pivot tables, charts)
- Expert in Microsoft Power BI
- Expert in MS Access SQL, MY SQL
- Expert in Python and/or VBA coding languages
- Proficient with Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint Online, and Teams
Desired:
- Strong analytical skills with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner
- Experience solving complex problems through quantitative data driven analysis, modeling, and experience using spreadsheet and presentation tools for data visualization
- Experience working with VFA Asset Management, MS Power Platform, MS Access and Smartsheet software applications
- Corporate Real Estate experience within corporate services, transaction management, construction, workplace design, or other related strategic real estate planning experience
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
