Project Engineering (70–75%):
• Lead infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, server upgrades, networking deployments, and security initiatives.
• Architect, implement, and document scalable, secure IT systems for SMB and mid-market clients.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, TAMs/vCIOs, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide onsite engineering for client offices throughout Charlotte.
Escalation Support (25–30%):
• Act as a senior-level escalation point for complex incidents from the Service Desk.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues across servers, networks, virtualization, cloud platforms, and security tools.
• Maintain stability during high-volume periods by guiding Support team members.
• Recommend improvements to client environments to reduce recurring issues.
Core Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in VMware vSphere (VCP preferred).
• Strong networking knowledge: SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco, VLANs, DHCP, VPN, SD-WAN, routing/switching.
• Ability to create and modify firewall and routing/security policies.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices (CIS, NIST, CMMC a plus).
Experience & Qualifications:
• 5 years in an MSP or IT Service Provider environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently from planning to completion.
• High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel locally to client sites.
