Job Summary
Hello!! We are independent and we are looking for a caring person to look after my grandma with dementia. We want her closer to family, she is immobile, uses a bed trapeze and is in a recliner wheelchair.
**we offer free housing with a slight decline in pay if wanted**
We are willing to hire students/people looking for experience, but we ask for an at least 3 month contract, with 1 month notice of renewing or not. State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) would be preferred. We’re looking for compassionate care and proactive support.
Looking for 8am-6pm and 6pm-8am shifts; Monday-Thursday or certain schedule if able to work out.
Family will take care Fri-Sun.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with feeding and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
- Monitor residents’ health status by observing physical and emotional changes and reporting findings to nursing staff
- Support residents with toileting needs, cleaning sore bandages
- Help facilitate stimulating activities
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures diligently
- Document irregularities
- Respond promptly to resident requests or concerns, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
Requirements
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or equivalent credential; or current student
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to care for others
- Ability to bend, and lift
