At Home Independent Living is an award-winning, non-medical home care agency located in Camillus, NY. Our mission is to provide exceptional and reliable in-home, companion and homemaker services to clients in Syracuse and the surrounding area.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Scheduling and Staffing Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the scheduling of caregivers, managing staffing needs, and coordinating the recruitment efforts to ensure seamless service delivery. This individual will interact directly with clients, their families and the caregiving staff on a daily basis and will participate in a weekly, on-call rotation.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ideal candidates will have experience working in an administrative position within a home care agency with a background in a health-related field such as nursing, CNA, HHA or EMT. Previous scheduling and staffing experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required
- Must have excellent customer service skills especially telephone skills
- General healthcare knowledge preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication and multi-tasking skills
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisionAbility to analyze and problem solve
- Working knowledge of Time /Attendance and Staffing system preferred
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word and Outlook
Requirements for Employment
- Must have own transportation available during working hours
- Must have personal computer with internet access at home
- Must be able to pass a background, driving record and illegal drug check
