Core responsibilities
Strategic planning
- Develop and execute short and long-term financial strategies to support organizational goals.
- Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company services.
- Direct and participate in growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans.
- Assist with the development and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives.
Financial management and Reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Present accurate and timely financial statements, analyses, and reports
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and oversee internal and external audits.
- Maintain effective financial controls, interfaces, and processes to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance with corporate governance standards.
Operational oversight
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and accounts receivable.
Executive leadership
- Advise senior leadership on financial implications of business activities and recommend strategic improvements.
- Lead and mentor direct reports to ensure strong performance and professional development.
Key requirements
- Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is typically required, with a master's degree (MBA, etc.) often preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience in a senior financial leadership role, often with a minimum of 5 years in healthcare or home care.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
- Skills: Strong knowledge of financial concepts, GAAP, financial analysis, and internal controls. Experience with healthcare-specific finance areas like revenue cycle improvement and 340B programs is also valuable.
- Certifications: A CPA is preferred.
