Overview
The Forklift Operator position is responsible for pulling merchandise, fulfilling requests, restocking resources, and preparing orders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification
- At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have compute skills and be proficient in navigating computers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RF scanners and order picking systems
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic hand tool expertise is a plus
- Ability to work various shifts
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts, including electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, and clamp trucks
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of products and materials throughout the warehouse
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all orders are picked accurately and delivered on time
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Daily follow the lead and Operations Managers instructions
- As needed, load and unload low and direct trucks
- Support coworkers as needed
- Stage outbound items or other security protocols as required
- Stage products for delivery
- Stack and count merchandise
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure they are within established limits
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
As a Forklift Operator, you will use your skills in forklift operation, order picking, and RF scanning on a daily basis. You will also need to have strong communication skills to work effectively with the warehouse team. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that all orders are picked accurately and delivered on time.
Include shift schedule
Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
